Introduction to UKGuardianship

At UKGuardianship, also known as UKG, we combine expert educational guardianship with exceptional care, because we know studying abroad is a life-changing journey. Built on empathy, integrity and the belief that every child deserves to feel safe, supported and inspired to thrive, we offer more than just practical help. We provide reassurance.

Our dedicated team builds strong, trusted relationships with families and schools. With 24/7 support and a commitment to excellence, we guide students to reach their full potential and encourage them to one day pay it forward, just as we do every day.

AEGIS Gold and BSA Accreditation

UKGuardianship is fully committed to safeguarding the students in our care and ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times. We expect every member of our team to uphold this mission. As proud members of the Association for the Education and Guardianship of International Students (AEGIS) since 2016, we are regularly inspected and accredited. We are delighted to have retained our GOLD status in our most recent AEGIS Gold Standard inspection in July 2025 - a reflection of our unwavering dedication to student safety and wellbeing.

As a Boarding Schools’ Association (BSA) Certified Guardian, UKG understands the unique needs of boarding school students and the structure of boarding life. We work closely with schools to ensure our support fits seamlessly into their routines, fully aligned with UK boarding standards. From academic guidance to school-related administration, our team is well-equipped and always ready to help.

Ready to Take the Next Step?

Whether you’re exploring school options, preparing for university applications, or seeking tailored academic support, our team is here to guide you every step of the way. With UKG, you’ll have expert knowledge, personal care, and a clear plan for success.

Meet the Founder Susan Fang

Susan, the woman who turned her own teenage survival story into UKGuardianship. Landing in the UK at 14 from Taipei with little English, zero backup, and a front-row seat to schoolyard politics, she vowed no other student should face that alone.

A Cambridge grad and North London Collegiate alumna, Susan founded UKG in 2009 to give international students the care, insight, and opportunities she never had. Today, she’s still opening doors - and loves it when former students return with children of their own.

Off-duty? She’s running marathons, smashing Hyrox, or on stage championing ethics in education.

ANNIE.webp

Annie Fang

Head of Education & Guardianship

Also known as The Grade Negotiator Extraordinaire! Behind every thriving international student at UKG is Annie and keeper of our AEGIS Gold Standard. She’s the one on the phone with schools, keeping students on track and futures wide open. Her jam? University applications - helping students chase their own dreams, not just their parents’. Her superpower? Negotiating better predicted grades (trade secret, sorry). Her stats? 100% success rate on grade bumps for uni apps.

Fun facts: Deacon at a Baptist church, once an international student at D’Overbroeck’s, still gets ID-ed at clubs.

All hail the Grade Guru.

JONAS.webp

Jonas Lim

Client Relations Manager

Also known as The Human GPS… Minus the Maps. Jonas is UKG’s resident fixer. If parents, students or homestays have a hiccup, she’s on it - plus any other curveballs UKG throws her way. Just don’t ask her for directions.

As a mum, she loves hearing family stories and seeing how students think - a daily crash course in parenting and life. Her superpower? Emotional radar: she can spot the sensitive and the laid-back on a group call in seconds.

Proudest moment? Orchestrating travel for 40 students without a single hitch.

Fun facts: made 8 friends in a day in HK, can’t read maps, avoids lamb, duck and goose.

ALEX.webp

Alexandra Reddington

Office Operations Manager

Alex is the organisational magician who turns UKG’s to-do list from chaos into clockwork. From supporting  guardian officers to leading special projects, streamlining processes and keeping us AEGIS compliant, she’s our adaptable all-rounder.

After five years of full-time mum life, Alex hit the ground running - slotting into the team, tackling tricky cases with discretion (thanks to her HR superpowers), and keeping students’ journeys smooth.

Fun facts? She can swerve bad situations like a psychic, dressed as Belle for her hen do and has an aversion to clowns.

Calm, capable, and unflappable - Alex keeps UKG ticking.

SALUA.webp

Salua Jebari

Guardianship Operations Assistant

Salua is UKG’s go-to for keeping international students happy, settled and feeling right at home - even when they’re miles away. From pastoral care to regular check-ins, she handles what parents can’t from afar.

Her best part of the job? Treating students like family and finding new ways to step up our support. Her superpower? Seeing life through both student and parent eyes, thanks to her own journey growing up in the UK.

Fun facts: fascinated by cosmetic injectables, puzzle enthusiast, loves travelling, especially back to Morocco.

With a toddler at home and students everywhere, Salua keeps it all running smoothly.

“UKG has given me a lot of confidence and a sense of security given that my son was going to be living so far away from us. They are always caring, responsive and willing to help and speedily answer any queries and requests for assistance.”
