AEGIS

Association for the Education and Guardianship of International Students.

AEGIS was created to ensure that international students who are under 18 and studying in the UK are being looked after properly. Their main purpose is to safeguard the welfare of international students studying at schools, colleges and universities in the UK, making them feel safe, welcome and cared for. Therefore, AEGIS has strict guidelines for its accredited guardianship organisations to follow and organises workshops and conferences to promote best practice.

UKGuardianship has been accredited by AEGIS since 2016 and is fully accredited to gold standard. Below is the summary statement from our most recent inspection in 2021:

“UKGuardianship (UKG), is a well-established organisation run by a highly professional team. They are very successful in meeting their aim to ensure all students have a safe and enjoyable time in the UK while reaching their full academic potential. UKG continuously seeks ways to sustain its high levels of provision, and retain its AEGIS gold accreditation.”
